Marcel de Vries

Co-founder and co-owner of Pallas Employment Lawyers.

Marcel is specialised in the law on dismissals (whether individual or mass redundancies), non-competition clauses, international employment law, the aspects of employment law surrounding mergers and acquisitions, and the position of the director under the articles of association.

He is a member of:

  • the Dutch Bar Association,
  • the Employment Law Association,
  • the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN),
  • the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).

Marcel successfully completed the specialist course in Employment Law of the Grotius Academy.

Marcel regularly gives courses and lectures. He is also editor of the magazine Loonzaken (SDU) and wrote a number of publications.

Marcel de Vries registered the following areas of law in the register of disciplines of the Dutch Bar Association:

    • Mass redundancy
    • International employment law
    • Employee participation

This registration implies that ten continuing education credits must be obtained for every area of law registered, according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
